“And to them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name…” (Isaiah)

The most important part of any memorial is that it should evoke feelings from the viewer. To do this, I develop a relationship and understanding of the feelings of the patron. I try to make these feelings accessible to the viewer. The more I understand the patron, the more evocative and moving the memorial will be.

This project in Yeshivat Hakotel was in memory of the fallen soldiers that had learned at the Yeshiva over the years. Living in Israel with a citizen army, this is a subject that touches us all. Doing this project was very moving to me, and I feel that it does move the viewer.
