When the Young Israel of Kfar Ganim approached me to do their stained glass windows, they were thinking of each window as a separate subject. Maybe the festivals? Or something else that shules always do. Why not do something specific for your shul, something no-one else has ever done I suggested. What’s specific about your shul? Who are you? What makes your shul different from the shule on the next block? Well we’re almost all Olim, some old some new. Well that’s an idea! Give me a quote for that and we can do something that no-one has ever seen before. A few days later the Rabbi sent me The Breaking Dawn quote. This turned into one of the most exciting projects yet, and I enjoyed every moment doing it.
